Pricing & Process

Custom Formulation

We build each product from scratch, with cost based on complexity and scope.

Rates typically range from $1,500 to $10,000+
Bundle pricing is available for multi-product collections.

Includes:

  • Custom formulation

  • Sample development

  • Full INCI and usage documentation

  • Stability guidance

  • IP ownership: you own your final approved formula, always.

No licensing, ever. You paid for it — it’s yours.

Fragrance Compounding: Starts at $500+ depending on materials used. This is quoted separately.

Payment: Due in full at project start.

Every project we take on is custom — because every brand is different. That said, we believe in transparency. Here’s what you can expect:

Small-Batch Manufacturing

We manufacture formulas we create — and client-owned formulas developed elsewhere.

MOQ: 500 units
You’ll receive detailed quotes at 500, 1,000, 2,500, and 5,000+ units once formulation is finalized.

We always keep your budget in mind while formulating. There’s no point perfecting a product you can’t afford to launch — so we work backwards from your cost targets.

We maintain strict ownership boundaries: if it’s your formula, it stays yours.

In some circumstances, Lab Magenta may share a stock formula or offer free custom formulation services. If a stock formula or custom formula is provided by Lab Magenta at no cost to the client, Lab Magenta retains all rights to house-developed formulas.
